Description
These characters are part elf and part human. They will look human in almost every aspect, except the lack of facial hair and pointed
ears that seem precariously placed upon the sides of their heads.
History
All throughout the world of Caxtrin humans have had their way with elven women, usually by force and very rarely by consent. The outcome
is never good with the offspring having the worst of both worlds. Half-elves are despised by elves and disliked by humans, never really having a family
to call their own. These abominations of the elvish society are usually cast out of the town and are never allowed to return, usually leaving the half-elf
with a sense of hatred stemming from his or her strong human emotions. Very few people of this race have been allowed to live in elven communities, but
these are only the offspring of nobility or those that have proven themselves to be useful as an elf; not barbaric like most humans.
Beliefs
Half-elves believe in many different Gods, not really having one of their own. They will sometimes sway towards human Gods, and other times
towards the Gods of the elves. Many have been found to join the ranks of the Darkyns since placing their beliefs in Deltayn will help to find brethren that will
more readily accept them. Ultimately, that is up to the character and his or her past. Some half-elves may not follow a higher power at all, thinking that the
Gods were cruel for making them live a tortured existence.
Habits
Most of the time, a half-elf will despise the human race for what they have created by raping his or her mother. They will sometimes seek out
this father and get revenge for what he has created. Other times he or she will despise the elves since they almost always shun and reject half-elves. They are
usually patient people, having dealt with most types of rejection and hatred, which usually allows them to withstand any situation without losing control.
Abilities
These characters have the option to view the world through infravision when desired, which allows them to see heat patterns.
This cannot be used near bright lights.
